The Super Eagles vice-captain Vincent Enyeama, who is also part of the France team Lille LOSC, has commented on his last reward as he was recently picked as the Best African Player in Ligue 1 this season. Indeed, as this video clip of Vincent Enyeama shows, the Nigerian shot stopper has been on fire during all the ongoing season. Yesterday, while he was facing a batch of journalists from all over the world, Enyeama said that he was overjoyed about his recent reward. He also promised that he will not fail Nigeria during the next Mundial in Rio da Janeiro.

While Enyeama admitted that he could not wait for the FIFA World Cup to start up again, he said that he was also focused on making Lille LOSC keep his third rank in the leaderboard, a performance implying a possible participation in the next Champions’ League. As usual, Enyeama said that God was his greatest supporter. “God has always been there for me. When I need his support, he’s right here. I hope the world Cup will be crowning glory for me, the team and the Nigerian nation”.

The man who is nowadays regarded as the best African goalkeeper of the modern era lost out to PSG’s Italian player Salvatore Sirigu during the LNFP Awards, which took place last weekend in Paris. His coach at Lille LOSC, was named Best Coach of the Ligue 1 but was highly disappointed about Enyeama not being rewarded for its outstanding season. “Vincent is the best goalkeeper in Europe. Not a single doubt about that. I know it and all his partners know it as well”, he claimed with a certain tone of bitter in his voice.
